Bow Ties with Sausage and Sweet Peppers

This recipe comes from the Better Homes and Garden cookbook. I like this meal for lots of reasons! Number one, its super tasty. Two: its so super easy to make, and only takes about 20 minutes to make. Three: It's a skillet meal, so it doesn't heat up my whole house in the summer time! Four: my girls love it too! Bonus!  So all around this is a super easy, light summer meal that we love.

Bow Ties with Sausage and Sweet Peppers

8 ounces dried bow tie pasta
3/4 pound fresh spicy Italian sausage (I just use regular sausage)
2 medium sweet red peppers, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
1/2 cup beef broth
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and return pasta to pan.  Cook sausage and sweet pepper in a large skillet over medium-high heat until sausage is brown. Drain off fat.
  2. Add broth and black pepper to skillet. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Toss pasta with sausage mixture. Makes 4 servings.
