Garbage Bread

One night for dinner I was serving Garlic bread. One of the boys asked what the bread was. I told them Garlic bread. They replied in disbelief "Garbage Bread!?!?" We all laughed and the name has stuck. When I make garlic bread I used anything from a slice of regular wonder bread, hot dog buns, all the way to french bread. All I do is take a slice, cover the entire surface in real butter and then I sprinkle on Our Best Bites Garlic Bread Seasoning. I always have a tub of it mixed up in my fridge. We love it.

Garlic Bread Seasoning

1/2 cup powdered Parmesan cheese
2 tsp Kosher salt
2 Tbl garlic powder
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp basil
2 tsp marjoram
2 tsp parsley

Combine ingredients in a jar, cover with a lid and shake.

Once the bread is buttered and seasoned, toss in the oven with the broiler on high for only a minute of two. Stay right there and watch carefully. Otherwise you may have blackened garbage bread for dinner!
