Honey Wheat Rolls

The other day I really wanted wheat rolls. I dug through all of my recipes, but I couldn't find one to try. I searched all my favorite recipe blogs and didn't find anything interesting. So I went to the Taste of Home website and found this one. We loved it. My family ate the entire pan in one night! Hope you like them!

Honey Wheat Rolls

2 pkgs yeast (5 tsp)
1 cup very warm water
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup honey
1 egg
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 tsp salt
2 to 3 cups all purpose flour
Additional melted butter

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Stir in the butter, honey, egg, whole wheat flour, oats, salt and  cup of flour; beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.

Knead dough in stand mixer for a few minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.

Punch down dogh. Shape into 15 rolls. Place in a greased 13x9 inch pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with butter. Yield 15 Rolls.
